The album was officially released on February 19, 2008. Title A Twist in My Story is a reference to the 2008 Vesely divorce with former wife Candice, with who make it have two children. To support the release, Secondhand Serenade spent most of March and April for a tour with American bands Making April, Automatic Loveletter, and The Affair White Tie.
